Bio

I grew up in Patterson and attended Pierce County Schools until graduating in 1988.  After graduating  from PCHS, I pursued my college education in the spring of 1989 at Brewton-Parker College.  After a year, I transferred to Georgia Southern University.  I began my studies in engineering before determining that I really had a desire to teach and work with kids.  I changed my major to physical education in 1991.  It wasn't long after that when I met my beautiful wife, Denise.  In August 1994, I graduated from Georgia Southen University with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education.  Denise and I were married in the summer of 1995.  I worked at different schools for seven years before moving back to God's country, Pierce County, in June 2001.

We built a house on family farm land that I grew up on and moved in March 2002.  In January of 2003, our son, Jake "The Man" Brown was born.  And, he's been running ever since.  We attend First Baptist Church in Blackshear.  I am honored and humbled that God has graciously blessed me with a wonderful family,  a wonderful job, and a wonderful community.  I am proud to call myself a Pierce County Bear.
